The Salvation Army serves a dinner at p. Monday — Friday. This feeding is free and open to anyone. This facility provides a warm and safe environment to women and children in need of emergency shelter and women and children seeking to make the transition from homelessness to stable housing.
The William and Catherine Booth Towers are two vital programs offered to seniors. The Towers are high-rise apartment complexes for low-income senior citizens age 62 and older with a limited number of accessible units for individuals 18 and up who qualify. We are proud that both Catherine and William Booth Towers are smoke-free facilities. The residents are provided with a facility that has: 24 hour courtesy desk, coin operated laundry rooms, recreation rooms, lounge areas and a beautiful view overlooking greater Orlando.
The Tower residents have plenty of programs and activities to fill their days with fun and fellowship. Special luncheons and events take place on a regular basis providing good social activities for all of the residents to enjoy. Currently, each facility has approximately a one-year waiting list of people in need of housing at the Towers. Providing spiritual, social, and emotional assistance for men who have lost the ability to cope with their problems and caught in addiction.
Centers offers residential housing, work, and group and individual therapy, all in a clean, wholesome environment. The physical and spiritual care that program participants receive prepares them to re-enter society and return to gainful employment.
Many of those who have been rehabilitated are reunited with their families and resume a normal life. Each program participant is provided with a clean and healthy living environment, good food, work therapy, leisure time activities, group and individual counseling, spiritual direction, and resources to develop life skills and a personal relationship with God as provided by Jesus Christ.
Since we do not solicit government funding for this program, the ARC program is made possible through the generosity of those who donate goods that can be sold in our family thrift stores and provide services that are made available to the participants of our programs.
