I enjoy going back for a visit. I always make use of Muni and Bart to get around -- no car, another real plus. I was by myself and really just killing time between Train and Plane but had fun -- great lunch in the Castro, walked around Fisherman's Terminal, etc. Nice time of year and the weather was in our favor. Easy to get around walking, bus, and taxi.
Excellent night life, always something for all ages. The culture and vibrant city vibe makes me want to go back. SAN Francisco is ok to visit and have tours , it isn't ok to walk around due to the huge amount of homeless , addicted and derranged people that can sometimes scare you. I did not dare to go out after 5 pm. Such a rich state should take better Care of the less Fortunate. Prices really exorbitant for Everything.
