The award is named after John D. Scodellaro, who began serving on the board of Detroit PAL in the 90s, and Gerry Boylan, who has served on the board since the organization began.

Scodellaro and Boylan were instrumental in the success of Think Detroit Inc. Cynthia was a part of the PAL family for more than 25 years. Before her passing in , she served PAL as a finance and business administration assistant and volunteer extraordinaire. I will keep you posted on more information!

Bougard was the principle of Kettering high school, and has been working to keep the school open for years. He was a mentor, father figure, and coach to all of his students at Kettering. Greg will be putting on a memorial in honor of him within the next few weeks so I will keep you posted on that.
