San diego pit bull awareness day

We organize outings for members on a regular basis events per month and help create pit-friendly environments for socialization, training, and networking with other Pittie Parents. We support several local bully rescues however do not affiliate with one single group above another. If so, please reach out to us and we can offer contacts for local rescue groups and organizations that may be able to help. One of our core beliefs is the vital need to spay and neuter our pets. San Diego shelters are overrun by the homeless pet epidemic, in order to help relieve the overpopulation of homeless dogs and to educate our family and friends, we only allow members with altered dogs to participate in our social events.

We DO NOT support breeding of any kind and will ban any member who advertises the breeding, selling, or fighting of dogs. National Pit Bull Awareness Day NPBAD is a day of appreciation and education designed to change perceptions and stereotypes about bully breed dogs, commonly referred to as "pit bulls," and their responsible owners. NPBAD was established to educate and foster positive communications and experiences in the communities in which we and our dogs live, and it is an initiative dedicated to restoring the image of the American Pit Bull Terrier.

When Bless the Bullys introduced the idea of a nationwide pit bull awareness day, the response was overwhelming! Einhorn Insurance helps responsible bully owners get home, renter or liability insurance with a pit bull. We love all breeds! We also offer car, business and life insurance. We have worked with Pit Bull Rescues for over 10 years and are very well connected within the community.

Additionally, we work with Animal Control officers at almost every California shelter and humane society. If your dog is in quarantine, has been deemed Dangerous, Potentially Dangerous or a Public Nuisance, we can help. Not a California resident? No problem! We have contacts in all 50 states. Approximately one million Pit Bulls are euthanized in shelters every year, many of them innocent- only being put down because of a lousy rumor threatening their kind.

Whoever said ignorance is bliss is dead wrong. A day of appreciation and education designed to change perceptions and stereotypes about pit bulls and their responsible owners. Established to educate and foster positive communications and experiences in the communities in which we and our dogs live, and it is an initiative dedicated to restoring the image of the American Pit Bull Terrier.

Constant negative media attention and sensationalized hype that surrounds pit bulls has the breed in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. The media and public have stereotyped and judged an entire group of dogs, as well as their owners, based on the actions of a few. When we think of pits and second chances, there is always an extraordinary individual who made it possible, who saw past the stereotypes and made a difference.
